Let me say hello! My name is Dan Naulty. Welcome to my blog. Feel free to bop around and check things out. Below you will find a few questions that describe my faith and what this blog is all about. First a little about me.
I am a Christian, a husband to Cassandra and a father to two boys, 9 and 11. I worship at Free Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, MI. I’m an aspiring writer on various topics. I’m currently working on a book titled: Emptiness Emptied, A Memoir. It’s the story of my empty life being filled by Jesus Christ.
In 1997 during my second year in Major League Baseball with the Minnesota Twins, God saved me from sin and misery. After winning the World Series with the 1999 Yankees, I went on to complete my undergraduate degree in biblical studies (Moody Bible Institute), an MA in biblical studies (Trinity), and a post-grad MTh in practical theology (Oxford University).
I’m an ordained minister that has pastored in a couple different churches in Southern California. Today, I help my wife raise our boys, write, preach, and speak.
My blog is a place that I can think about various ideas while sharing those ideas with you. Many of my ideas are condensed on Twitter, follow me here: @dannaulty.
Below are some questions and answers that I thought I might be helpful.
WHAT DO I BELIEVE?
- I’m a Christian — I affirm that Jesus is my Savior and Lord.
- I’m a Protestant — I affirm the five “solas” of the Reformation.
- I’m Reformed in my theology — I affirm the doctrines of grace (the interpretive method and principles known as Calvinism).
- I’m Evangelical — I believe in the good news of Jesus Christ.
HOW DO YOU GET IN TOUCH WITH ME?
Contact info is is here. I prefer email, but please know that I can’t always get back to you with the constraints on my time. I will certainly do my best, however!
My blog got its start primarily from Twitter. I reluctantly started posting small snippets of what I was learning. My Twitter following started to grow, and I liked it! I realized that 140 characters wasn’t going to be enough, so I started thinking of ways to expound on my ideas. I hope and pray that you enjoy what you find.
